Recovery Resources for Women

The Woman’s Heart mission is to provide innovative relapse prevention, aftercare and healthcare resources to women in recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction for Chronic Disease Management, and to support the reduction of child abuse, foster care and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.

Daytop Village (Adult Program) (Residential)
A 32-bed residential recovery program for men and women. Participants must make a six to eight month commitment to the program.

Hope House of Service League (Residential)
A six-month residential treatment program designed for women who are released from the San Mateo Women's Correctional Center and the California Department of Corrections. Hope House is a 12-step based program and has a variety of classes dealing with addiction as well as the whole self. The program provides treatment, residential, transitional housing, and alumni support services. Hope House is a non-smoking facility.

Latino Commission (Residential)
Residential recovery services for Latino men and women. This program is designed to deliver culturally proficient, gender-specific treatment. Program includes family reunification, substance addiction treatment, and employment readiness.

Palm Avenue (Detoxification Program) (Residential)
A 20-bed social model alcohol and other drug detoxification program for men and women from San Mateo County. The primary focus of the program is to refer residents to ongoing recovery services within the community.

Women's Recovery Association (WRA) (Residential)
Operates five residential recovery facilities and one outpatient-counseling center for women, children, and families. Three residential facilities serve women ages 18 or over and offer treatment for the dually diagnosed; one facility offers pre-natal residential services for women with children ages 0-10 years old; one residential facility is for adolescent girls, ages 14-17.
